I've eaten at Diwans about five times now since reading a review online (Mona's meals).

Don't let the location on Tourist Street in Qawra put you off, Diwans is far superior to the other restaurants in the area.

The restaurant features many of the usual dishes you would expect to see in an Indian Restaurant and they do them very well indeed. However I cant recommend the tasting menus enough, for surprisingly low prices you can taste a selection of dishes such as some of the best Chicken tikka I've ever eaten, tandoori cooked Tuna on Marsala mashed potatoes, Calamari Pakora with ginger chutney (I think it was Ginger) and loads more.

Myself and my girlfriend had our Aniversary dinner there recently and had Oyseters will chilli dressing, Coconut poached lobster tail, Grouper Pakora, some incredible salmon... you get the picture.

I've been in Malta for nearly three years and so far Diwans is by far one of the top two or three restaurants I've found.

If you like Indian food take yourself off to Diwans. My only fear is that they charge surprisingly low prices and I hope they turn a tidy profit so there is no danger of them not being there one day.
